Having to close my business left me in debt up to my ears, I was totally stressed out and had no idea what to do. When I finally took action and called PBS I was amazed at how kind and understanding they were. My only regret is that I wished I had known about them earlier.

MY wife and I were in a credit vortex. I had a run of bad luck with employment and had $22,000 in credit card debt. We were only able to make the minimum payments (if any at all) and things were only getting worse. We were over extended and believed the next step was bankruptcy.

Both Leticia and I are out of debt now. After years of fiscal irresponsibility and failed attempts to clean up our debts, Leticia and I started out with a combined debt of $40,830. Since October of 2001 when I first signed up we have settled out accounts for a total of $24,199.
In addition to those savings, Leticia and I have significantly changed our financial lifestyles to the point where we’ll never get credit cards and where possible we’ll pay cash for everything we purchase. We have been practicing this for the last three years and as difficult of a transition as it has been, it’s now infinitely more rewarding. I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with PBS and all of your efforts. There are many “Financial Help” scams out there and I was very skeptical about calling in the first place. I felt hopeless, gripped by fear and embarrassment, and reluctantly made that first call.
Almost immediately, I felt empathy and comfort talking with my consultant Chris. She explained how she had been in the same situation. She was not at all what I expected, there were no put downs... nothing judgmental...she explained how to escape the debt trap in a simple, solid plan in a most courteous and professional way. After that first call with Chris I simply felt relief, I had hope again!
Throughout the workweek PBS will cross my mind numerous times. It makes me smile to think of how they are working on my behalf, successfully negotiating my accounts with creditors so I don’t have to.

Thirty-two months ago I contacted PBS along with other companies that help people get out of debt. I signed up with PBS because I felt I could become debt free in the shortest amount of time. Thirty-two months seems like a very long time when you are living thru it. With your help, assurances and advice, I managed to become debt free of $110,000 in those thirty-two months. I cannot tell you how heart felt I feel today as the last check is being sent to the last creditor. Being free of debt is an amazing feeling considering what the burden of $110,000 feels like.

At first I was scared – not to have credit cards to full back on. The funny thing is that the cards were all maxed out anyway's! Just shows you how the banks and credit cards can corrupt your thinking. After a couple on months on the program we know that never again would we believe THE GREAT AMERICAN LIE of living on credit.
We learned a lot, being under the gun to get out of debt helped us stay focused and we got really creative in rustling up money to settle those debts. Our future is very different, one thing we know for sure – we will never have credit again.

I signed up with PBS two years ago with credit card debts amounting to $98,000. The last one was settled last week. I saved 51% (and that is after paying PBS fees).
My negotiator was Donella, and I cannot say enough good things about her. Right from the first conversation with her, she soothed and reassured me and continued to do so throughout the two years. She helped me through that time of emotional upheaval. I took a liking to her immediately and felt very comfortable putting my trust in her. We kept in touch throughout the whole two-year period even when there were big gaps between settlements.

I had five credit cards up to their limit. I knew it would take years to get out of debt with minimum payments and it got so I hated to hear the phone for fear it was a creditor. The credit card companies were bad enough but when they sold the accounts to the collection agencies, they really harassed me.

Freedom from debt seemed to be only a pipedream before we found PBS. It has been so wonderful to work with all of you who have fostered a positive"can do" attitude. You helped us work out a plan which let us feel totally in control while achieving our goals.
Every other program we checked out required complete control of our money paid directly to them each month. Your plan allowed us to feel the power of regular deposits in our own savings accounts and to conquer our debts, one by one. You were on our side all the way! You were always available to us when we had questions, either instantly by phone or conveniently by email.
We have taught our family that abusing our "good credit" quickly turned into financial cancer, causing intense pain and suffering in so many facets or our lives. Our indebtedness put intense stress on out marriage, our relationship with our children and with our parents.
We had to say no to so many simple things because we paid so dearly in interest charges and fees! just an incredible number of our hard-earned dollars were paid out, month in and month out. Never again! Many of those dollars are now building our savings account and allowing us peace of mind, and we are living much more comfortable, much happier lifestyles than we have enjoyed for so long.
My wife and I no longer have to work second and even third jobs. we can attend our children's' activities and functions and just spend time with them. We are very glad not to miss this time with them. How we wish we had found you years sooner!
